This one is from last year and the comments after are great. Billions may have been spent in other countries on air conditioning, something many of our island public school students still lack.

How much electricity would be needed to operate large Telescopes like the TMT? More than a school or two full of air-conditioned classrooms for the Keiki?
Would several large air conditioners really have to run all day so that the observatory equipment will function properly?
