Hi all...Anthony Valadon here, friends call me Tony.
I have lived on the island about 15 years now. I hate to admit that I did some BI bashing in my head back about 8 years ago and decided this place didn't cut it. Moved to Florida for about a year and Florida really didn't cut it.
We came back to the island with "0" and started over again. Wasn't easy at first but things have a way of falling in to place for me on this island.
That one year away was the best investment I ever made. When we returned I knew I was home in Hawaii and have no desire to be elsewhere.
The recent sale of our home in Waimea has allowed us the freedom to come over to the Puna side, invest in a piece of property that isn't right next to the highway, and settle down. (fingers crossed)
My interests include photography, computer aided design (brochures, ads, etc.), and 80/90s hard rock & metal (though I don't party anymore).
I have been married for 10 years and have a 7 month old son.
Life is good!
Glad I came across this forum, it'll be nice to meet some of you in the future.
Not sure what the criteria for being a "Punatic" is but I didn't fit in in Kona or Waimea and have a feeling I may just fit in over here.
Anthony
