Many heroes not taken care of, soldiers lost, civilians killed, civil rights trampled, and lessons left unlearned. We owe it to those who have suffered for our country to be vigilant not only to the threat of terrorism, but the threat of losing who we are while fighting it. We must hold ourselves to a higher standard.
