Drones to kill invasive species. Good idea.
In many cases it will be bots instead. An inventor has already designed a bot to kill ticks. About the size of a small dog (20 lb), it crawls around dragging a cloth impregnated with the pesticide permethrin. The bot emits carbon dioxide, which is how ticks get attracted to humans. Tests have shown that in 4 hours, the bot will attract and kill about 90% of the ticks in an acre or so.
Bots for frogs and snails could probably be reduced to just a pound or two. With mini solar panels on top, they should be able to function for many months. Scientists get to work!
