Just to ask a question, and I admit to being uninformed: Is there a clear record/evidence that the later arrivals to Hawaii killed the first group of arrivals?
On Chatham Island east of New Zealand, there is a clear record of New Zealand's Maori people attacking and largely wiping out the natives of Chatham Island. How much of what happened in Hawaii is legend and how much is proven by anthropological evidence?
