Ino, Mahalo for posting this detailed information. It's interesting to see the 1 mile or more off shore flight path and altitude of 2500'.
Some of the busiest times over Kaloli Pt have been during rainy weather, flying lower than 1000' or just under the clouds, and approx 1/2 a mile inland. There's been occasions where they were flying 5 min apart from the same company under those conditions. Once in awhile on a sunny day they've been 1/2 mile inland flying at an altitude just over the tree tops, and we don't have trees that tall here.
Some KP residents don't believe 1 mile off shore will be enough. Just curious, can one see the beautiful coastline on a "scenic coastline tour" very well from a mile or more away? During a return flight on Hawaiian Airlines I've seen the coastline and it is amazingly beautiful. I can't gauge how far off shore those flights are...
