I do, and this project started as just a way to run the deep freeze 100% on solar but turned into a hobby that can now run the entire house at times. Because I've done the whole thing piecemeal using components mostly bought on sale or discount using only my labor the payback on what I've done so far will be about 2.3 years. Maybe less if Helco increases rates. Adding a battery bank will add to that but on the other hand I might get a few more hours of partial grid freedom each day too so maybe it won't add a lot. And being ready for a SHTF scenario is priceless.
