It looks as though we're in for another spate of thunderstorms Wednesday through Friday, although hopefully not as intense as those the other day. I heard from someone at UH Manoa that this winter has been the worst on Mauna Kea in forty years in terms of clear observing time. Due to the weather UKIRT, for example, has only been able to observe for 17% of the available time, the rest has been lost to weather which is unheard of.
