We have been investing in Real estate for 25yrs. We feel that these swings in the economy are part of the project. The rose has a thorn. So does investing in Real estate. If your not in for the long term I guess you could get excited about the negative comments on this thread. We have seen things we own go up down then higher than we could imagine. I know when people start talking about flipping a house; most of them are just talking. Granted people do make money doing that. So keep a level head about the economy. From what I've seen Hawaii has a different type investor,one that knows that there is only so much island prop. located in the US. If your in it for the quick buck. I agree, times are changing. If your buying/building now, 10-15 yrs from now you should be sitting pretty.
The rose grows best with a little fertilzer.
So choose to be the rose, the thorn or the fertilizer. They are all part of the deal.
