It's an easy process, and free to get an account there. Sometimes they are cheaper than Costco and without the 2 hour drive.
They aren't always the cheapest in Hilo (not sure what the secret sauce is) but they almost always are. You can apply for an account online. There is no way to pay at the pump without an account, but I've read on gasbuddy one can buy a pre-paid card at their office if you want to buy gas without getting an account. They don't accept credit cards. It's one of the schemes they use to keep their prices low. Not paying merchant fees.
