It is an older 4G version but I'll keep it as long as they let me as the signal strength is great. I also have Hawaiian Telcom fiber to the house but very rarely do I have an issue. Neighbors all around have Spectrum claiming it is cheaper but they complain all the time about outages and slow speeds. I also have my little fiber connection box thingy as well as main router, on a APC UPS. It lasts about 2 hours which allows it to last through most power outages.
Does it have a monthly fee?
No - I only activate it (takes less than 10 minutes) when I need it, generally when I know there is some sort of disaster or similar going on. It is good for 10GB of data over a 30 day period and last time I activated it, I think it was $90. May be cheaper options out there but I like the reliability it has over being cheap. You can also add more data if the 30 days is not up. I can do Webex with screen sharing with it, too.
