Putting a perfectly fine brand new home into the landfill doesn't sound good for the environment.
The developer should buy her a comparable lot and donate the house to Habitat for Humanity or something instead of suing for "lost profits" among other things. At least then he gets a tax deduction, somebody in need gets a home, and the lady gets an unspoiled acre of junk trees.
