In addition, they might not exactly be making a profit, but they sure are extending their hand and grabbing billions in federal money. Personally, I would challenge the USPS. Especially as I daily see new new houses in Hilo that are receiving curbside delivery.

I personally know nothing about HPP, it's comings and goings and omg the pilikia you all indulge in.. but I find the ramblings to be in some sense entertaining.. not that I do more than skim the long winded posts.. but hey..

I do think when someone posits a point of view and demands respect as if their's is accurate the whole house of cards comes tumbling down when they make inaccurate statements that are easily checked. It sorta renders their entire schtick suspicious.. as if they are the ravings of..  rather than actually fact based opinions..

For instance the statement above.. in which the USPS is somehow the bad guy.. has the phase..

they sure are extending their hand and grabbing billions in federal money.

Which is just not true. We all know the USPS is self reliant.. self funded. In fact the FY2024 U.S. Postal Service Appropriations states clearly..

From.. https://crsreports.congress.gov/product/pdf/IF/IF12516

The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) generates nearly all of its funding—about $78.5 billion annually according to the USPS’s most recent financial report—by charging users of the mail for the costs of the services it provides. Congress, however, does provide an annual appropriation—about $50 million in FY2023—to compensate the USPS for revenue it forgoes in providing free mailing privileges to the blind and overseas voters.

So please.. try to keep your angst in control.. at least to the point that you're factually based.. otherwise you're just proving Obie's point..
