so Hawaii can get a piece of that two-doll-only market in a sustainable manner.
… piece of nostalgia brought back from a hundred years ago?
When my mother would describe her childhood, she would tally her two pairs of shoes (weekday & Sunday), two dresses (weekday & Sunday), but sadly only one doll. Usually it she mentioned it when one of her children (three! she hit the jackpot!) complained about our 1960’s deprivations which were anything but. For some reason she never described her youth as the good old days, or looked backward with fond nostalgia. Even if her children didn’t get everything every time we asked, she always provided us with a good high quality reality check.
