Manao - But I do have faith in P'tang's humanity, and sincerity, even if, by my libtard's measure, he's misguided in his alliances.
Well, that's a libtard for you - recognizing everyone's humanity and such. ;) Have you considered instead though taking a walk in some red slippahs and pretending to fight the "Borg" on Punaweb, or tilting at made-up mind-controlling monolithic windmills (to keep the whales from going crazy when they migrate to Hawaii of course), or getting tread on harder over local efforts to preserve the environment? Some people, locally few but vocal, seem to swear by it.
Manao - Which makes it hard to imagine the future in any meaningful way if we're to assume things are moving in diametrically opposed directions..
"Difficult to see; always in motion is the future..." ;) Any time period from your experience that seems similar, or think we are in novel territory?
Lot of the discussion I've seen seems to be focused on getting the non-voters (30% nationally, 50% in Hawaii!) to engage politically as reconciliation of the "factions" appears increasingly difficult to resolve. Not sure why those working so hard to take down a rules-based order think it's going to work out well for them - the constitutional arrangement and legal pathways assembled over the last several decades is what has kept most political conflict from becoming political violence. Removing the refs doesn't mean you win - only that now there's no rules...
