Protests in Hilo & across Hawaii - next July 17th
#4
Obie - Where I come from the May 1st gathering was different.
Which isn't Hawaii right? Because this, and the rest of Punaweb, is supposed to be about Hawaii, remember?

Obie - Not really a protest but the [National Day of Prayer has] been around longer than standing on street corners waving signs.
Cool - you know what's neat is that the law provides protections for both, and many other rights as well, largely because people stood up against the injustices of their day and protested. Let's all give a prayer of thanks to them - mahalo and amen.

randomq - Maybe we can get some marines illegally deployed to Hilo!
Lots of stiff competition going on out there - New York, Chicago, Denver, Austin, Kansas City, Los Angeles, etc, etc, all showing up and the summer's just getting started! Maybe if we offer some aloha wear, slippahs, a mai tai, and beach days (ocean entry at your own risk) with each deployment, we'd have a competitive advantage and can replace some of the lost tourism and federal funding (troops gotta be housed in the city at a cost, right, unless the feds are intent on breaking even the Third Amendment as well)? Gotta grab those dollars for the local economy somehow - best for everyone to show up and do their part! :)
