Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids in Hawaii
#77
Don't mind Edge, kalianna - he's just taking a 30,000 ft view

Admittedly the air can get thin, and oxygen levels low but I find the view fantastic.  Worth the trade off for the writer if not every reader.

“Why does the New York Times continue to peddle false sob stories of criminal illegal aliens

Yes, why is the NYT writing sob stories about hard working businessmen who spent years getting their coffee trees to produce a crop, and pickers who work through blazing sun and soaking rain when the harvest is ready, and for good measure carry 100 pound bags around on their backs?

As a former full time farmer many years ago, I would answer that when a farmer or field worker is up from dawn ‘till dusk (a reality for me in those days, not just an old timey saying) there are not enough hours in the day for murdering, human trafficking, drug dealing, etc.  Oh sure, maybe a few tireless and diligent individuals might plow their way through a third shift jacked up on stimulants and conduct those illegal activities at night, but I would guess most did as I did and slept.  The sun rises early on summer mornings.
