According to Zillow, which seems to utilize a feral AI algorithm to compute their estimates*, Hawaii saw one of the largest drops in home prices across the nation last year. Kind of goes against the general word on the street, and anti-vacation rental sentiment of the Maui council that home prices are becoming more and more out of reach, and simply unaffordable. Which I believe is true, but I moved here in 1987 and can’t name a year in which that wasn’t true.
