Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids in Hawaii

Fun. Another, as this article points out..

Inside Hawai‘i’s Small but Persisting ‘True Tea’ Industry

Specialty crop that the Big Island is ideally situated to grow. And, as is with coffee, its production is labor intensive. So much so as to be unable to grow beyond the backyard enthusiasts stage that it has been ever since its most recent introduction by the state’s ag experimental stations 25 years ago.

Growing tea is pretty easy to begin with, but picking and processing the picked leaves is intensive, and so demanding that the only way it’s possibly profitable, without a large cheap labor force, is the high end specialty market. Which is the same for Hawaiian coffees.

And still the question remains.. who is going to harvest the crops if the thugs keep coming? I doubt ‘e’s up to the task. Seriously, can you imagine da buggah out there picking da beans? In fact I doubt any of the folks that support this mad rush to rid our society of brown people are willing to do it. They're too lazy.. by far.
