Most expensive groceries in the country...
#50
"Hawaii’s cost of living index is 193.3, the highest in the nation, meaning the cost of living in the state is almost twice the average. The state is also the most expensive in the U.S. across all metrics except healthcare [ETA: 2nd only to Alaska]. Hawaii’s housing costs are three times the national average, with a typical single-family home averaging $730,511. Renters pay an average of $2,399 for a two-bedroom apartment in the state. Groceries also cost 50% more than the national average, as most goods have to be shipped to the island."

One more thing to add - Hawaii is the worst State to drive! So, we got that going for us too.

As for affordability, and costs and all that, is also good to know that just as our esteemed Agriculture Secretary's claim of a meal costing only 3 dollars, now our as well esteemed Treasury Secretary, Scott Bessent claims that the typical average "mom and pop" retired couple today own "5, 10 or even 12 homes.

When those who haven't got a clue listen to and believe those who also haven't got a clue, well, again, here we are! It's those filthy, always getting pregnant damned SNAP recipients causing all this "unaffordability."
