Most expensive groceries in the country...
Edge -  aiming more toward Sosan
Not sure how to reconcile any material analysis with Zen/Taoism, which always seemed like a good philosophy for the individual to find peace with the nature of things, but not a great system for determining how best to actually improve things for everyone. However, I remain open to any koans that point to the deep meaning of The Way. (maybe some future bonsais will have some answers - periodic free Puna Bonsai Ohana events happening at ASC/HAAS :)

HJ - I promise to never attack you when you are 100% correct.
I second that, upon my honor as an ultra-leftie (What again do I need to do to qualify as an ultra-leftie? Expect the constitution to be followed? Be at least somewhat concerned about people being gunned down by agents of the government? Maybe offer a block of tofu to the Yas Queen of Antifa? These made up terms are so hard to track, so not sure if I'm included or not - care to actually define leilanidude what you're calling other Punaweb participants?)

Tang - Sounds like a great Puna breakfast for > $2.00 - adding it to the cookbook!
What's the title of the cookbook going to be - Oh Imagine the Things You Can Make When Your Food is Free? Hopefully it begins with plans to build a time machine to go back several years and plant and tend all the trees and shrubs needed for the local fruits in that affordable smoothie for tomorrow's breakfast. Or maybe the book could open with the forms needed to apply for SNAP benefits in Hawaii so that people can afford to make the included meals? If so, then right on brother, unexpected allyship, protein power smoothies to the people! (I'll submit my on-theme recipe for gruel - take most any available grain, boil with water. Cheap, flexible, and widely available - tends to have people asking for more!)

Tang - PS: someone is using some weird AI.  I typed in "Tang" and got breakfast drink (less than $1.00 per serving)- and of course the dynasty.  No snakes.  Go figgah
Hmm, I would have figured that 37 years after the invention of the world wide web, people would understand that words that are underlined and/or in a different color (like this) act a link that you can click on to get more information without any searching at all. Of course, this requires the individual to actually be interested in reading or learning anything instead of choosing to be a trollish nitwit that constantly blames others for their own lazy dip****tary, so YMMV.

ETA: HJ - I am wondering what kind of result one would get if one did a reverse image search and a really deep dive of your claimed delicious breakfast
Good catch, but are you even surprised? Brain rot all the way down...
