From HVO: "Reports of tephra fall are important to us; we use your observations to assess the character and size of an eruption plume, and the dispersal pattern of fall out. We report these data to the National Weather Service so they can keep their Ashfall Advisories current. Reports of NO tephra fall during an eruption with expected fall are also important to us."
