Any right-or-alt-right-of center folks want to actually try to address this situation as being morally or legally defensible?
While there is no real moral or legally defensible position one could reasonably use, even though I am sure some will come up with a few, but also consider that it costs ICE an average of $165.00 per day to house a detainee. (I am sure much more for Hawaii)
So 5 months @ 30 days a month is 150 days @ $165.00 per day is $24,750.00.
Contrast that to the husband, wife and son trio arrested on numerous drug possession and illegal firearms charges who spent 5 days at HCCC before being granted supervised release and tell me, where SHOULD your anger be placed? Morally, legally and taxpayer fiscal responsibility?
I'll take a 1,000 Estrada Lopez's as my next door neighbors hands down before I'd even think of just ONE of the trio living anywhere here in Hawaii that's for damn sure.
