Begging randomq's indulgence, and riffing on the thread's "Li-Fē-P-O" title, did you know that apparently George Lucas fled to Hawai'i during the opening of Star Wars in 1977, fearing the possible bad reviews? While chilling on the local beaches with Steven Spielberg and reminiscing about their favorite spy and adventure films, Lucas pitched him on an idea he had for a daring archeologist that had to locate the Ark of the Covenant before Hitler and the "Roman saluting" Nazi's could get their hands on it - the adventures of Indiana Smith! (was still a work in progress - needed a few more mai tais to workshop it ;)
So what's all this got to do with the price of picking up a power converter in Tosche Station (other than no can ship them either)? Well, while doing the monthly maintenance yesterday on our own moisture vaporators, some variation of the wise words of Alec Guinness as Obi-Wan came to mind in considering how to deal with "mecha-hitlers" - it's more machine slop than human wisdom now, twisted and evil - as well as those pale leaders of aspiring evil empires: "Who's the more foolish, the fool or the fool who follows him?" ;)
