The Bicker Board

[HiloJulie]

When this thread started, I thought, "Finally, a thread on Punaweb that will offer some helpful, practical information on a matter important to almost everyone."  But no, it took exactly three posts for this to become yet another political pissing contest.  Since then, only four of 17 posts have actually had the nuts and bolts of internet in Puna as the primary focus.

Some of us, Frau Chunkster and I included, have the means to express our ideology through our spending habits.  Many, many folks in Puna do not have that luxury, however, so it would be nice for all the options to be put on the table without the political overtones.  Despite the efforts of Rob Tucker and Moderator2 (and the provision of a place to bicker) the downhill slide of Punaweb continuies.  It's quite sad actually.

Could not agree more ChucksterK.

I tried to discuss the nuts and bolts of the thread issue, but well first was told that my house is fictitious.

Then, after adding more nuts and bolts, I am apparently voting with my dollars and voting against my own interests blah blah blah.

Then, of course, I am voting for an infantile, fed on the breast of apartheid, spoiled brat who dreams of world dominance. Essentially, the Fourth Reich.

And then, add in that I am a lemming, with no morality.

Of course, wouldn't you know, I also have shallow convictions and support kiddie porn. But of course I do, because I sold all my morals.

I think you get the message. I won't bother with all the hypocrisy in all of this, my last post on the subject thread summed that up well enough.

In hindsight, my mistake was, has and is in replying to this nonsense in the first place. It is clear that there more or less can be no discussion of a subject matter, because all some desire to do is turn it into political crap and of course, replete with as many personal attacks as possible, along with simply being a pack of hypocrites sitting in judgement.

Yes, It's quite sad actually.
