Yes Julie, giving money to Musk with one hand while wagging your finger at him with the other makes you a hypocrite, by definition. Just because others may be hypocritical doesn't change or somehow excuse that decision. You have options, you can choose differently if you want to embrace your supposed morals and allow them to guide your actions, instead of just protecting your pocketbook.
When people complain about the state of the world, it's these type of self-serving and rationalizing decisions that often seem to be the root cause - "sure I don't agree with the racism, misogyny, attacks on the free press, etc, etc, but the economy was so much better last time" (until it wasn't of course) and now we have secret police hauling ladies out of their Hawai'i abodes in the middle of the night, people being profiled for harassment and detainment on the mainland streets and at HNL, broadcaster licenses being threatened if they don't tow the party line, and ~20% increases on local gas prices to boot (even more if you're a devoted patron of '76 in Kurtistown). All of which is thanks to the $250+ million that people like yourself contributed to the cause, directly or indirectly.
Maybe taking a stand for what is right has a cost worth paying and allowing the amoral nature of economics be the primary guide for decision making has had, and will continue to have, negative consequences for everyone?

While my using Starlink may seem hypocritical and very well maybe as it relates to myself (I don't see Obie getting the same dressing down over his overwhelming "vote" for Starlink) but what I find more hypocritical is chastising someone for doing something, while they themselves do the same something equal to or worse. Like having to venture out to "get gas and water" after being deluged with millions of gallons of water, and why do you need gas?
As for the rest of your diatribe, I don't see Musk as being directly involved in all of that. Maybe Musk was indirectly involved, but then, one could argue if so, then based upon their numerous stated views, so is PunaTang. Oh yeah, and Kane. And his confession that his whole Kenoi story was Grok after all. (And yet, no dressing down there, just a funny cute YouTube video in reply!)
At any event, if you feel all warm and fuzzy by making me the bad girl, have at it! Your attempted professing of your virtues of being as pure as the fresh driven snow while I just piss all over it and make it yellow, is, to say the least, quite humorous. And rather facetious.
