HiloJulie (#13): You spin a vivid escalation fantasy—armed intruders tasing Kenoi (Keoni), terrorizing neighbors, Philippine teachers fleeing—then ask if "letting go" was wise, capped with another Confucius jab. It's dramatic theater, but it's also the classic TDS escalation tactic: invent a doomsday consequence to justify perpetual rage. If one person cools their fire, the barbarians storm the hale. Reality check: Pahoa's actual threats (vog, rain bombs, flows, feral pigs) get handled by neighbors who show up, not by endless screen-scrolling. Your story doesn't prove the point—it proves how fear of "what if" keeps the lava burning hotter than Pele ever needed.
Real live Julie here...
Perhaps maybe Grok was possibly programed to exclude certain truths and realities that are really happening, including right here in Hawaii:

I just semi sort of cleverly weaved reality into your computer generated yarn. But to call it an "invent(ed) a doomsday consequence" shows how deaf, dumb and blind as to what is really happening that your buddy Grok truly is. And the "perpetual rage" as to what happened to those poor Filipino teachers is just, rightful and well deserved.
