Wao nahele wahine - Considering we were flying to Hilo in the morning, I'm taking Kane's drunk comment as a joke after having a beer that night.
Neat, as we're neither in his head nor in his house, we're stuck taking him at his word. Again, I don't really care, but if you present yourself as needing to get drunk (for surviving South Florida - I feel ya) then we as readers take this into account per Rob's repeated observation of Punaweb posters and his repeated requests to keep this possibility in consideration.
As for Rob's three comments you linked to...the 2014 link doesn't work.
The 4, that I know of, work for me:
- 2011: "On any given day people show up here in good moods, good health, bad moods, bad health and stinky drunk. You never know what's going on for sure"
- 2014: "Sometimes I think people might be drunk or stoned as they write.... I can't tell. But if people or rude behavior become egregiously offensive or repetitive on someone's part I will try to rein it in."
- 2017: "I try to remind myself that on any given day someone is happy, someone is unhappy, someone just got bad news, someone is drunk, the whole range of life."
- 2017 - 2: "Ya gotta talk in a few things in consideration of every post. Not everyone is you. At any given moment some will be happy, sad, ill, angry, hungry, drunk, stoned or simultaneously watching Sponge Bob.
I could point you to where other people referenced Rob on this matter (like this) showing it's not just me that heard this message loud and clear, but don't think you really care.
The other two links we weren't involved in those conversations.
Again neat, but some of us read those threads and listened. Just because you're not aware of Rob's repeated notes on this matter doesn't mean they don't exist for everyone else.
I won't acknowledge that Kane and/or I routinely or typically post while impaired by any type of intoxicant. Why? Because it isn't true.
I didn't say routinely or typically, only that we as readers have to consider the possibility given the evidence. You say Kane doesn't drink regularly, cool, then why all the "look at me blocking the libtard users" and "you're only talking to an AI" trolling? He's just naturally an ass, even sober?
eta: Substance abuse is not the same as having a drink or two several times a year.
I (and others it seemed to me), were hoping Kane was just knocking a few back and playing the fool with his gambols, his songs, his flashes of merriment, that were wont to set the table on a roar. If he's not POI, then he's just kinda being a dick several times a year, don't you think?
Any examples of that "lashing out" yet? Still trying to figure out what you're seeing that I am not.
HJ - So you define "not by a long shot" of being a boomer, by being born around late 1964,
I never said I was born in 64, I said I could be like Keanu (which was mostly an attempt to drag Edge into the Bicker Board - but he's too disciplined to fall for such obvious snares ;) or born anytime afterwards and still not be a boomer. I could have been born in 1980, and 29 when I joined Punaweb and so still able to walk.
As for Bill and the 14-year-old kid with the clock, that boomer circle jerk is just them showing how dumb and arrogant they all are (where's the explosive package nitwits? Lots of mechanism and no explosive does not a bomb make). Clearly they don't know the first thing about what a bomb actually looks like but reinforce each other in their common stupidity to justify Texas arresting a 14-year-old Muslim kid with an ethnic name...
Anything else I missed in reply, I could care less.
Doesn't understand generational categories, lacks reading comprehension, can't do math, but blames the youth for their confusion... ok, boomer. (or maybe you're just intoxicated - have another on me before the next attempt at a retort :)
