Ouch, and after all that time planting trees on Earth Day, and recycling near everything, and watching Farm Aid, and boycotting South Africa, and graffiti-ing political messages, and advocating for ELF to save those trees and owls, and supporting the EFF, and staging walk-outs for the Gulf War, and protesting for animal rights at the local big pharma companies, and blocking the new Starbucks next to our favorite local coffee shop (never have drank Starbucks because of this), and sign waving along the road next to the local nuclear weapons facility, and reading all those Adbuster mags, and battling at theG7 GTOWTO meetings, and voting for Nader, and protesting the 2003 invasion of Iraq, and reading all those Naomi Klein books and the theanarchistlibrary, and doing Occupy and mutual aid in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis, and building homes with Habitat for Humanity, and volunteering at food banks and The Hub, and wearing those pink pussy hats, and helping move people out of Leilani in 2018 while developing the community lava map, and growing my own food, and building my own solar system, and buying almost exclusively used clothes and tech objects, and advocating for legislation addressing human needs in Hawai'i, and posting about and attending another several more recent protests, but the opinion of some rando boomer online has really made me question my beliefs.

Yak - I'm going to do the somewhat odd (and apparently unpopular thing) and defend HiloJulie on this thread as she is actually providing useful information and discussing the thread's topic. She also appears to have a grasp of basic math, science, and economics, unlike the MAGA/libertarian/ancap simpletons cheering on the destruction, pain, and suffering (which they seem to mistakenly believe will spare them).
Yak - Unfortunately for you Julie, you don't get to hide behind reading comprehension issues like some Punawebbers, so I know that you understand that while any particularly term can be used to promote hate, particularly by those outside the targeted group, it doesn't mean every such use of the term is automatically hateful.

Because I don't deal in absolutes, I have to note differences in your behavior at different times and on different subjects. You're the one flip-flopping - you sometimes add cogent information, other times you can't follow the most basic info (like the fact that the end of the boomer generation birth dates is all the way back in 1964 so lots of people, actually a majority now, are not boomers - not sure why you're so surprised and refuse to believe you've met a non-boomer like myself). So assuming the best, and asking questions - is your erratic behavior because you're "happy, sad, ill, angry, hungry, drunk, stoned or simultaneously watching Sponge Bob?"
