Sure, has Musk done any of that and put to good use those Starlink profits y'all like to contribute to?
Well, come to think of it, he did contribute and shipped over 650 Starlink kits to help with internet connectivity for more than 40 organizations assisting with the Maui wildfire relief efforts. As well as tens of thousands on Starlink kits being deployed around the world due to various political strife situations. But then, maybe America can join China, Russia, North Korea, Iran, Syria, Cuba, Myanmar, and Venezuela and just outright ban Starlink. That will for sure "own" Musk now, wouldn't it?
Maybe, for Hawaii's sake, we get Musk to develop expired safety check camera readers and deploy them in every parking lot in the entire state so we can crack down on all those apparent ne'er-do-wells.
For clarity, last I heard, Benioff donated $25 million and the State the other $25 million + $9 million for the Keaau Benioff Medical Center. Has he also provided funding for the $160 million Puna Community Medical Center?
True that! But he also did, as posted prior, make a joke of having ICE watch his employees and then called for the active deployment of the National Guard in San Francisco, but as also posted prior, that Hilo Medical Center sure looks good!
But yeah, that's what I mean by a somewhat well-socialized fat cat who is at least contributing something to society, and so is lower down on the list. It'd be a lot simpler to just tax those profits derived from public investments back into public control so they can be reinvested, but billionaire philanthropy is at least doing a bit to keep the torches and pitchforks at bay (for now)
Maybe Bezos could "just say no" to the significant big beautiful tax cuts?
