I'm still paying mine, so you must be in your 90s.
Well, no, not quite, but I'll be 70 next year.
However, to your point, at what point has one's generation paid its dues? Their death?
I guess, one could say that if I wait another 10 more years, I'd be qualified to be POTUS. Should I replace Ed Case? I'd be 3 to 4 years younger. Run for Congress? Heck at 70, I'd be a "spring chicken."
Call me whatever you please, but I'd love to see the torch being passed on here. I'd rather see the halls of the State and Federal Governments filled the Gen X'ers and Millennials than the majority of borderline senile, diaper wearing, swollen ankles old
as we have today. So yeah, I paid my dues. And in a lot of cases, I even overpaid.
But, if you're my age or older, and you are still paying, you might want to consider why. As for the younger generations, yeah,
or get off the pot. Time to step up. Or, in other words, be an "adult." All this old lady wants to do now is play in her yard, with her dog, her husband, her grown adult kids and grandkids, help her POTUS aged neighbors and post endlessly on PunaWeb.
