kalakoa - In Hawaii, that Doordasher needs to rent office space or get a Conditional/Special Use Permit
Experience tells me you have a HRS/County Code in mind, so care to share the deets? Also, can one get a SUP for an unpermitted jungle shack in a non-confirming subdivision? Seems contradictory, but yeah, Welcome to Hawai'i Fantasy Island.
HereOnThePrimalEdge - Reading glasses are for wussies. I’ve had REAL glasses since 4th grade.
Sound(ed) like quite the creative solution - "don't concentrate on the finger or you will miss all that heavenly [pedagogical] glory". I always went with the squinty yawn, and Malcolm X-esque finger-on-the-side-of-the-eye trick. As-salamu alaykum, fellow kids with glasses they tried to sidestep.
that’s what I did since the 1980’s.
Yes, yes, you paid for your elders' retirement and golden years under coercion like Ms. Rand and now want someone to reimburse you. But just because you got shaken down for your creamy, creamy milk money back in the day (did like me a frozen custard when was forced to be back in the area), doesn't mean shaking down the kids for their coconut milk money is pono now. Maybe, those businesses with the billionaire owners, record profits and stock valuations, and whatnot could pay the entire ~15% and break the cycle of the intergenerational ponzi scheme abuse?
Could think of it like a "have pension will travel" for all those still working and forced to job-hop every few years as the economy crumbles/transforms around them. Sort of a going away gift from the demographic with the largest number of voters. Elsewise other solutions are going to become more and more common - "All you had to do was pay us enough to live."
Even gig workers' venture cap middle-men tech bros could be required pay into it as apparently Hawai'i had the fastest growth in people with a second job at 34% for 2022-23. Who says no one wants to work these days? (rhetorical question, we all know who says that ;)
Could be the memory? Person, woman, man, camera, TV. Still got it! A+!
Well, you're clearly as qualified as the current guy, probably moreso as you understand what a joke of a standard that is to be highlighting. I got my Hawai'i election notification card already so I'll be sure to write you in as my candidate on August 8 and November 3. If you don't win clearly the elections are flawed, ballots have gone missing, and we riot (I'll bring a Hibachi on knobby-tires version of this to handle the "roads" so we can grill some shiitake and pineapple during the "mostly peaceful chaos" ;)
