Punatang,
I don’t minimize the hardships involved in staying underwater in a sub for 75 days, but I looked up the average for any sub and it’s generally 30-90 days. So as a navy sailor, wouldn’t he be prepared for an extended time submerged every time he heads to sea? Isn’t that the job description?
I only skimmed the info, but not sure how staying underwater makes him any more or less qualified than any other person to have an opinion on a Hawaii Supreme Court nominee, enough that his comments should influence others?
In this instance, I’d be more interested in the opinion of, let’s say an attorney, who has some experience in legal matters. They would at least be in the ballpark when we’re talking judges and courts.
