Can someone explain why the quoting of what another poster has said is being moderated out while what the poster originally said is left to stand?

Sometimes it's time.  Sometimes it's horseshoes and hand grenades.  Sometimes it's fission.  

ETA: LOL! I would not expect it any other way! But I would add that it seems more like the squeaky wheels always get pumped full of grease!
