Yes. Storms might become stronger and perhaps more frequent in a strong El Niño, but the island remains a tiny place. I know many say "target" when it comes to hurricanes, but that's not a good way to think about it. Hurricanes don't target places. More storms mean the chances of being hit increase, and more powerful storms mean that if the island is hit, the damage will be worse if it's hit by one of those powerful storms compared to if it weren't.
