Though, when I do visit, rarely anymore, I am more a west coast kind of Californian.. and looked and was sorry to see not many in my haunts listed.. so wasn’t as attracted to inventing a trip around the opportunity. But hey, if you ever get to the further reaches of Highway 1/101 there’s a kick ass stretch of coast.. say from Humboldt Bay up to Crescent City.. that one could get lost in a timeless adventure in.. with a few state parks, my fav being what was called when I was young Patrick Point State Park.. and is now Sue-meg State Park. That, the redwoods, and the beaches in the area.. are really an otherworldly experience.
