That is sound thinking RandomQ but it could limit the life saving benefits of Flock. Clearly, we can trust our leaders, experts, and science in these matters. All of these conspiracy theories and concerns about freedumbs and privacy seem misplaced. Critical thinking must prevail. Already Flock cameras have saved lives. I read about three different Baby Boomers, in three separate instances, who had wandered off and gotten themselves into dangerous situations, but they were saved by Flock cameras. In one jurisdiction alone, The Sheriff’s Office reports that over the past two years, their Flock LPR cameras helped solve 15 murders, 17 kidnappings, and 172 missing-persons cases. Specific examples include locating a teenage girl kidnapped from Georgia and brought to a Jacksonville motel, and quickly finding an elderly man with dementia. That is just one jurisdiction over just two years!
If you're feeling anxiety over flock cameras, just tap into your empathy. If it saves one life, it's worth it, right? I scan to protect you - you scan to protect me. We are all in this together.
