Aloha Valued Customers,
Due to Hurricane Lowell and its ongoing impact on Kauai, our Lihue (LIH) Station is closed until further notice. Effective immediately, all flights to and from Lihue (LIH) have been cancelled until further notice.
This is Durgin's take on the threat to Kauai, posted 1 hour ago: "At 8am Lowell is being steered by an upper level low to its north. The low is moving west (satellite water vapor animation). Currently Lowell is on a path towards Kauai, but as the upper level low moves west, Lowell is forecast to turn towards the north and just barely miss the island. If Lowell turns early it will be farther from Kauai for less wind, if it turns later Kauai is in danger of seeing hurricane conditions."
