When I was a wee little thing I lived in LA (left when I was 12) and there was a neighborhood we'd pass through pretty regularly. And then when I was about 5 or 6 they started jacking up all the houses in a wide area.. miles and miles of houses got jacked up and put on trucks and taken somewhere else. I was a kid I have no idea where. Then the bulldozers and the cement trucks, and one day we, my mom sister and I, were driving up this onramp onto the brand new Santa Monica Freeway (I think it is now called the i10). And bingo, we had a straight route out to the beach!
Eminent Domain. It works like a charm. And bumbai it's all just water under the bridge. Folks adjust. Shipman, the Homelands folks.. the Mac nut trees.. the HPP nuts.. rip the bandaid off and let the sunshine in! We'd all be a healthier community for it.
And yeah, adding a rail line would be a hoot. What a great idea!
