We had guineas and they were just too loud and crazy. Kept the whole yard in an uproar all the time. Now we just have chickens and things are a lot quieter. When we had the guinea we just had hens, now we have the hens plus two roosters and it is still quieter than when the guineas were here.
No ducks or duck eggs can be imported into Hawaii and you have to bring in eggs from certified places and they have to have a certificate attached to the shipping box. There's a whole website on it although I don't have the URL handy. Google Hawaii quarentine and you should find something. If they aren't chicken eggs or day old chicks, then the eggs have to go through inspection in Honolulu, I think. The best thing would be to find someone over here who already has the type of birds you want and get some birds or eggs from them.
