Not for me ...
I rarely want to spill about my personal stuff on the net, and if I do I want to be talking directly to a specific person or persons, and getting a reply. I like dialogue.
But I see the appeal, I guess. Great thing about the internet, such a diverse medium, something for everyone.
btw, I have taken plenty of creative writing classes where I was told to keep a journal and/or do a lot of free writing, and I never wanted to or enjoyed it. It's just not my personality type. Others find it liberating. It's all good.
