Current "AI" can generate large amounts of semi-accurate text and lots of made-up images and somewhat-uncanny valley videos. What problems does Puna/Hawai'i face in which lots of semi-accurate text and made-up images and video is the solution? Grant proposals and slide decks? (one current tally in the current proposed federal budget is $1.3 billion in losses for Hawai'i - have to actually have grants available to send those blocks of word slop to)

Apparently, "AI" tools are pretty good at helping to run some Kona low storm recovery scams though. Everyone, shoggoths included, has got to eat I guess, from makai by The Night Ocean to up mauka At the Mountains of Madness (Hawaiian Acres' unofficial motto? ;)

Actually, ‘Tang, my thoughts lead themselves to imagining that once the true effect of our, the first world, and more specifically the USA’s, unchecked greed at the cost of life itself, is recognized by the world as a whole the UN will have no choice but to stand up an armed force to stop anyone from further destruction of nature. Seriously. I envision a force comprised of all standing armies from around the world working together to insist, with force, the end of fossil fuel extraction, the end of deforestation, the end of hunting.. the end of mass gluttony. 

As it is we are on the very edge of destroying everything. 

People who insist they have a right.. their’s is god given.. or any other excuse to take for themselves at the true cost of what our gluttonous lifestyle is taking from Mother now, will be held to account. And their life forfeit if they don’t get in line. Survival of our species, when faced with its actual demise, will be a very powerful force.

There will be no choice. Food will be rationed, water will be scarce, and those that take for themselves seen as taking away from the rest. And when it is that fine a balance, nobody is going to sit back and let the final demise just roll over them.

You'll note, 'Tang, there are no, and have been no (as our wannabe is always willing to twist things into his own delusions) threats of violence here. None. Only an explanation as to why the perpetual disregard for the wellbeing of Mother will eventually box mankind into defending her. 

But hey, if avoiding accountability for your actions is your "god fearing" way of making you feel good.. carry on 'Tang. You can make silly, you can twist, and join the herd, and make it all about me all you want. Yeah, yeah yeah. Or better yet.. go and talk with Grok about it.
