Termite and termite inspection problems
#11
Don't use Terminix.
They did the per-treatment on my lanai. They didn't realize a customer could actually calculate sq ft, volume concentration and application rates. They applied about one third of the amount of chemical specified in the contract. When I called them on it the manager tried to snow me, and I explained to him why and what he was full of. He agreed to drench around the whole house.
Since they have to account for the chemical I am guessing my stuff ended up on some side job. (that could be your answer actually, offer cash)

Pr-treatment is a scam anyway and I just wanted my piece of paper so I agreed.

Rob, do you have contact with a fab shop that can make up custom posts with girder bucket and pier mount base on fairly reasonable time? Considering getting it done from the beginning so I can factor out cross bracing with the steel strength on a short post system.
Only problem I can see is delay caused once piers are in, surveying the height needed at each pier to relay to fab shop for manufacture and delivery. But, to be more termite resistant, it is what it is. Build the lanai/garage shop in the meantime, I guessSmile
Mahalo for your answer.
