Recall of HPP District 5 President
#11
"Here is a Go Fund Me with some info about the recall."

The person who started the Go Fund Me is not a property owner and has been a troublemaker for some time.
Usually she posts stuff on the power poles on Makuu. Her father filed at least 2 frivolous lawsuits that have gone absolutely nowhere but have cost us a lot of money because our lawyers have to respond.

I had a run-in with her a few years ago when I drove down to the dead end part of 17th ( it has now been opened all the way thru)
She is someone to avoid and has several restraining orders filed against her.
I backed off when I started getting death threats from family members.

The President and VP have been doing exactly what is needed to straighten out the subdivision.

Well said, HOTPE.

The 1st step in a recall is to get 200 valid signatures of property owners who are current in the association fees. Then there would be an election and 2 thirds majority of the ballots returned would be required for removal.
Jeff Finley is not running again and will be gone from the board before anything can take place.

( a) A recall election for a director may be called by two-thirds majority of the board, or by a petition of
not fewer than 200 signatures of members from the director's District.
(b) The mail-in recall ballot may contain two statements of 200 words or fewer, one stating the case for
removal of the director and the other to be submitted by the director being challenged.
© The director shall be removed on a two thirds majority of the valid ballots returned.

I expect some input from the originator, whom I suspect is a regular poster here
..

Meanwhile, this topic might get more traction on the main forum, but I understand why you put it here. Patricia would no doubt take over the thread and turn it into another Scheißschau if you put it there.

Consider how this simple misinterpretation of facts and information might also create false conclusions in other more complex areas...

HOTPE, consider how you obviously do not know how to read.

The first reference is Oink, who is asking for more objective info, from other PW posters, than just mine. That's fair and reasonable.

The second reference is from ChunksterK. Personal and irrelevant.

The third is from you. Consider re-reading. Though why anyone would bother to take that time, when all they have to do is READ the court docs, might lead one to the conclusion that you are more interested in promoting a false narrative than knowing truth.

Oh yes, I remember the nutcase from the Go Fund Me. I actually figured out who it was before I even checked. At one point she had a little booth with a sign to save the kupuna iwi on 17th. Sounded like a worthy cause to me so I stopped to talk to her but within five minutes she became hysterical as I asked questions -- yelled, screamed, even cried. Turns out she lives on 17th and didnʻt want the road extended by her house and used the kupuna iwi as an excuse. I fled as soon as I could.
Certainty will be the death of us.

HOTPE, consider how you obviously do not know how to read.

In high school we took a class as part of our English requirement that focused specifically on reading.  We tested for speed and comprehension.  I scored second out of 350.

This is additional information that you may (or may not) wish to add to the research used for your conclusion above.

"At one point she had a little booth with a sign to save the kupuna iwi on 17th."

The other deal was the cell tower on the corner of the associations clubhouse.

She testified before the Windward Planning Commission opposing that tower. She previously testified against 2 other towers, one in Fern Acres the second located above Leilani in Sanford's gravel pit.

Each time she stated under oath that she lived nearby in each case.

I forgot about that part but yes, in her hysteria about the road she seamlessly segued into the cell tower as part of the same rant.
Certainty will be the death of us.

Aloha Obie,
You have serious credibility issues here and have made these false accusations against me in the past which have been removed by the admin. You need to provide proof of your allegations against me including the restraining orders and  threats that you said were made against you.
My family are HPP owners and this is a legitimate recall process that has been prompted by owners from those districts. I am only volunteering my time to help.

Please stop trying to slander me on this forum. I have never met you and you need to provide proof of your allegations. This is a legitimate recall process prompted by owners from these districts and I am only helping out.

Now, I am not trying to pat myself on the back here, nor am I trying to repeat myself either and also using PunaWeb's core tenant of "assuming the best and ask questions, so I will repeat my, at least what I think it is, a very worded question:

"So, as I understand it, and correct me if I am wrong, but each district elects each director who lives in each district by a majority of votes cast by the residents of each district.

As such, and again as I understand it, Karin Hoffman who lives in and was elected by the residents of district 5 and Jeffrey Finley who lives in and was elected by the residents of district 9.

Can anybody state what their respective vote totals were that elected them to the Board in the first place?

Since it takes 200 votes each to recall each director, if they were elected to the Board with less than 200 votes each to begin with, I'd say this is a losing proposition.

And then, at this point, how much time is left on each of their respective terms?"

Hopefully and thankfully in advance,

Julie
