Advice Needed on Buying Appliances
#11
Our suggestion is to buy the W/D with the least amount of gadgets included (which usually turns out to be the least expensive too).

The only issue with our gas dryer that came from Sears in Hilo in 11 years is it needed a replacement belt about 2-3 years ago. Did take three weeks and $18 to get it but essentially 20 mins to replace once it was here.

We also wax our appliance occasionally with car wax or rub down with rain-ex.

The only issue with our side by side fridge is one of the kids put a full champagne bottle in ice maker and it broke the little plastic thing as it was not created to move that weight. It gets pushed up by ice instead. The repair guy said it was the most common New Year's Eve issue he gets in January.

But then again we live in Kapoho with sky lights and adequate ventilation so we dont get a lot of condensation on our appliances over all except on my glass of ice water.
