Massive IT outage - Expect Outages

“Was it something that affected you?”

Not me personally, but some friends of ours who live in Kona had several family members visiting. Some were on the carriers that were grounded, while some were on Southwest. 

Ironically, Southwest had zero issues and their flights were not affected. 

Turns out, Southwest is still running Windows 3.1.

I’m not sure if it’s a good thing or a bad thing, but for this particular issue, it saved their butts!

We have bank accounts at two different Hilo banks/credit unions. Their online site is frozen so we can't do online banking or check accounts, but luckily we can still access our accounts with bank staff on the phone or in person. Whew!

I just checked and CU Hawaii site is locked. Canʻt log in.

Thanks for the responses. I didn't experience any issues, but I was curious about others.

I can't prove this was part of those outages. I think online purchasing from Walmart was down. Two days ago the message was only that something went wrong and they could not complete the sale.
Yesterday, the same steps and bank card worked without error.

CU Hawaii's online banking is still down, but their mobile banking app works just fine believe it or not. I'm puzzled as why one works and the other doesn't?
