We originally were going with post & pier but then reconsidered due to the fact that my mom (amputee) will be living with us and even with a ramp, p&p would be difficult on her to maneuver...an incline is an incline. The home which we really wanted in Nanawale would have been a dream for us if we didn't underbid what the owner wanted. We would have put in a ramp or a lift. Having said that, maybe it was a good thing because slab for all its drawbacks is just easier on mom.
