If you get the time take a chance on Chaing Mai. We have had some happy times there with the food and friends. Nice atmosphere but then I like whole ethnic vibe.

Imagine you walk into a Thai resturant and the owner comes right out to greet and talk story with you about what ever. Once on topic of menu, She will discuss this with you in detail and actually A S K you what you like and how you would like her to prepare it for you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This happens everyday @ Thai Smile resturant. You want REAL Thai as per ingredients available here ? Tell her "mai farang" and you will get it ! PART 2: I was gonna start another thread about the best < 3.00 burger in town but for everyone reading this now, please consider Lani's snack shack right between Miyos and HSC if you want something, hawaiian style, yummy to ship to a mainland friend and / or for a quick lunch if don't feel like waiting for the 'bookends' to find a place for you. Go by afternoons and you will find 3 generations right there to say aloha to ! mahalo, pog

I am disappointed that HBC is taking over Nihon. I have never been pleased with their fod or especially the service.
For $16 for 2 people for lunch at Nihon -you get a good lunch, a great view and best of all no holier than thou waiter attitude. |
