HPP Biz
Obie:

This is more fun to read than the Sunday comics.

"Mermaid, the BOD has already discussed the arbitration in the last board meeting. I wouldn't think they would now try to squelch the discussion by using an absurd deflection like "legal biz"

Well, there's another approach. How about the members (who have commenced the Arbitration procedure ) promulgate the information to the rest of us?

Well said Mermaid.
I don't think you're the only one in HPP who sees our situation that way.

Obie: Your annual meetings and all of you committee's are advisory and the board does not have to follow any of their recommendation.

Funny, that's what the VP's been saying almost word for word like a mantra at the board mtgs lately. You must know her. The membership is not "committees" by the way.

Definition of a committee: "a body of persons delegated to consider, investigate, take action on, or report on some matter."

Sounds more like the board's duties...hmmm. The membership doesn't have to follow the board's recommendations. The membership should decide after they've reported to us.

As I was reading the recent postings I can only say.... boy, not much has changed in 20 months. Even with the BOD changing a couple people here and there they still are breaking by-law after by-law with no consequences. I am sure the VP and Treasurer have traveled this road before and know that the system is in their favor and they control our money. What still astounds me is the amount of people that are still blinded to the BOD's abuses. And isn't it ironic that many many of these folks yelled and cursed previous boards for not following the by-laws.... hypocrites! As for F.S.who posts here regularly, he doesn't have a lot of wattage if you catch my drift because he can not grasp the simplest concepts and can not understand the by-laws. Some are just to far gone to the evil side and even if they see the wrong, they won't admit it, most are just as bad as the BOD themselves, many are uninformed and chose to remain that way and then, there are the densest. When a select few have to resort to arbitration and the BOD blows them off, that should be enough for even the simple minded to see how far the BOD has overreached it's authority. The BOD is not filled with brilliant people who have HPP in the for front and want to do the best for all.... come on dummy, even you can see that because if they did want what was best, they would not have been so devisive ... or better yet, had to be.

It is easy to hide behind a computer. And trash someone. It is another thing to do it face to face. My guess is you do not have the Hootspa.
If you have a problem with me. Say it to my face. And bring facts with you.

Katarina, please, please don't accept Flyingburper's taunt! We've all heard him at meetings say that he has guns and knows how to defend himself.

I am not in cahoots with you VP but she is correct in her interpretation of your bylaws.

Your definition of a committee comes from A dictionary. That definition does't apply here.

A committee defined by your bylaws is advisory. They have absolutely no power, so it astounds me that you keep whining about not having committees meeting as often as they should and bitching about the board dismissing committees.

After reading all of this crap here for the last year or so , I can only come to the conclusion that the posters her are the real problem.

The only reason for committees is to assist the board.
You elected a new board and you still have the same bitches.
I only see one constant problem and that is all of you who either can't read or have very low comprehension skills !

I came to the conclusion that everything must be fine the way it is, because none of it ever changes.

Obie, your summation of our woes further proves you don't know what you're talking about, you don't know our bylaws AND now you want to challenge the dictionary! A committee is a committee! Our woes has nothing to do w/committees themselves, and you need to pay attention better if you want to play in our sandbox.

The way you post points to a personal agenda. You don't live in HPP so either you're doing damage control for the VP, or you're just a troll who likes to stir the pot for your own pleasure. Doesn't say much of your character if it's the latter.

It's too much of a coincidence that you would state, like I said almost word for word, the VP's recent mantras at meetings. The only committee you could possibly be talking about is the FC. That situation has nothing to do w/advisory issues and had you been paying attention and attending meetings, you'd know that.

I reiterate, you need to pay attention better. It just makes you look ill informed otherwise.
