Hawaii Island Motorcyclists
#21
Well, we just returned from our trip the the Big Island last night.I had to get up and go back to work this morning (back to the grind).

Had a wonderful time and got to see my daughter that will be giving birth to our grand daughter around July 1st! I'll probably write a short message about our trip and start another thread about it.

We rented a house in HPP on Beach street right near the water. The little coqui frogs did not keep me awake at all, so I passed my first test about "could I live in the Puna area".

We went to the Sunday farmers market near Pahoa and it was great. While we were there a bunch of motorcycles passed by in groups for a good hour. There had to have been over a hundred bikers-most on Harleys and many on choppers.Must have been an organized ride.Looked like fun.

We are hoping to move to the Puna area, and most probably to HPP. We didn't get to go to Kona, but did hang out in Hilo for a while, and went to the farmers market and ate at a great Tai place near the market.

Yes, that is pretty close. I live just off Pioneer Ave and 15th st sw, or about a mile west of the fairgrounds.I used to compete once or twice a month at the Tacoma Sportsmans Club on Canyon Road.

Take care, Jon

-- Aloha Puna Friends -- I would like to thank all of you for contributing to this thread. Our Christian Motorcyclists Association Ministry group is growing and enjoying the wonders of the Island of Hawaii.
**We are having a booth in the Hawaii County Fair in Hilo this weekend. September 16th through 19th. Please feel free to stop by and say "Hi" to the various members that will operating it.
**We'll be giving out cold water and will even have some treats for the kids. When I am there I'll be showing and teaching a couple of simple, fun, tricks and puzzles and ,when time allows, doing some of the animal balloons that Carol and I do when performing our "Just for Keiki" luau show.
** Enjoy the Fair and be sure to stop by our booth.
